For Immediate Release:

Dominated in the headlines and conversations amongst people around the world over the past 3 months has been the impact and implications of the Coronavirus.  The devastating effects of this virus are being felt by individuals, families, businesses, and economies worldwide.  Daily, we hear the use of the word “Unprecedented” when talking about COVID-19.  “Social” and “Physical” distancing has become the norm!  How is the world going to recover from this “Pandemic”?

Like everyone on the planet, your family here at Rocky Mountain Show Jumping has also been impacted greatly from the effects of this virus.  Other than the obvious economic impacts on our business and others in the industry, there has been a huge impact on the animals that we all love so well, our horses!  Before I get to the purpose of this email, I would like to share some “Good News” amid this Pandemic.  With the financial pinch being felt by many people across the country, many fear for the health and welfare of our four legged friends.  I am pleased at this time to announce, that with the help of the J.C. Anderson Foundation, I have arranged for a $70,000 donation to the Alberta Equestrian Federation to help the horses in Alberta in need.  Look for the details on their program dedicated to helping the horses of Alberta soon.

Zoom in to RMSJ on Monday!
Although we missed hosting our last three indoor tournaments of the year, and our outdoor season launching Bow Valley Classics, what we are missing most are the friends we have gained over the past decades of competitions here at the ranch.  We miss all the smiles, the laughter, the ups and downs shared amongst all our wonderful exhibitors, and quite frankly we want that back. We want you all to enjoy a beverage, listen to some tunes, or simply watch one of the evening classes from Goby’s after a long day of competing yourself.  It’s time to get back to our horses and the sport we love.

Please join us on Monday May 25th at 11:00am (MST) via the Zoom meeting for an informational Q & A where I will, along with out Tournament Manager Caroline Jones, and Marketing  Coordinator Courtney Anderson will first give you an overview of where we are, and ask YOU what you’d like to see in the coming weeks as we emerge into Phase One of “Back to Business.”

Although we physically own the venue, we consider it YOURS!  When coming up with our “Path Forward” we felt it would be best if we allowed your input and suggestions.  We will be taking all of that into consideration before we finalize our plans scheduled to be released the following Monday, June 1st

Please send us an email so that we can add you to the call list.  We will be sending out an email prior to Monday’s call to the folks who ask.  The email will provide the link and password on how to join the call.

You have a voice!  Monday May 25th is the time for it to be heard.
I look forward to seeing you all shortly.  In person soon, and on Monday by Zoom, and of course 6 feet apart!

Sincerely yours,

John C. Anderson
President
