Your Rocky Mountain Show Jumping management team is pleased at this time to release the 2021 Royal West Winter Series prize list. For the first time in our history, we are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our Winter Series down at Calgary’s Stampede Park. Access to the prize list may be found here.
After this whirlwind world tour spreading Christmas cheer, Santa Claus has agreed to return to Calgary to allow our young competitors to enjoy their weekend of fun like they have for years at the Santa Claus Classic. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the Classic earlier this month. We do promise all of our young competitors who were looking forward to competing downtown, all of the competitions they were looking forward to, including the Snowflake Stakes. So dress up and extend your Christmas holiday, and who knows, maybe Santa will present you with one of the fabulous “Best Dressed” ribbons for your collection.
The 2021 Royal West Winter Series will kick off the Athlete Development Award Series. Information about this series with $15,000 in Athlete Development Bursaries can be found in the Prize List, or feel free to Click Here to read all about it now. Riders will begin accumulating points in the series beginning at the January event.
You will see that our team has included all levels of competition for our Hunter & Jumper competitors wishing to join us in the coming months, and can ensure that we will continue to offer a safe environment with all of the necessary protocols in place to keep our participants healthy. This series is being held at Stampede Park in the extremely spacious Royal West building which allows us the space needed to keep our competitors safe. For those of you who have never competed in this building, horses jump on our custom blend of GGT footing, with a Show Ring being a huge 125’x250’ and a Warm Up Ring being 100’x200’.
Competitors will be able to enter later this week on the ShowGroundsLive platform, and an email will be sent out pointing you to our ever-popular Christmas savings packages that allow purchasers to enjoy significant savings for the Winter Series, and competitions throughout our outdoor season.
